#OsteopathyWorks has been making the rounds of social media for the past three months and making quite an impact! The message is loud and clear.
When I launched Osteobiz just three years ago, most marketing by Osteopaths was frankly rather dismal! Three years on and my social media news feeds are filled with impactful messages and striking marketing by energetic Practitioners, confident to share their knowledge about taking better care of our physical beings. I am so proud of such amazing progress!
Because of my obvious passion for Osteopathy, I am constantly searching for and recommending Osteopaths all over the world for people who ask me if they can be helped too! What I love about Osteopathy is that it is as if the highly skilled Practitioner can ‘see’ the inner workings of the body via their hands. They can feel where tension or strains are impeding the normal activity of the body and gently ease it out without causing further damage.
Osteopaths search for the actual cause of a person’s pain. They are naturally curious and their enquiring minds love to trace back from where the pain exists to the actual source which may be a site nowhere near the painful area. They can work out where a problem has caused us to overcompensate and sometimes create further stresses and strains in other areas.
Celebrating how #OsteopathyWorks
Recently, I recommended an Osteopath to an online friend who was complaining of ongoing pain for the past seven years following a twin pregnancy. She messaged me after her first treatment and was crying as she texted how happy she was!
Catherine no longer felt any pain and began joking about being able to twerk for the first time ever! After one further treatment she was completely sorted. Finally she could lift up and hold her precious boys without pain!
A close friend of mine was due to fly from London to New York in a week’s time but she had a debilitating and severe ear infection, a recurring problem she had suffered with for over 50 years. Clearly Helen could not fly out with all her family and friends as she risked arriving either in great pain or potentially bursting her eardrum.
I immediately sent her to my Osteopath and the following day, I texted her to find out how it went. She had been rather reticent to try something new but her only other option was miss this big family holiday.
My friend texted back, “OMG it’s awful!” and I shot back, “What on earth happened??”
She replied, “I’ve got tons of goo pouring out of my ears onto my shoulders – it’s revolting!!”
But I was delighted! She was no longer in pain and the infected fluid was draining away. One week later, she flew to New York with no problem whatsoever.
My own son, Toby, has had considerable health problems all of his twenty years. This culminated three years ago in a heart transplant which was the result of chemotherapy induced Cardiomyopathy. Three weeks after his transplant he came home and lay on the sofa feeling very uncomfortable and lack lustre.
My Osteopath kindly called by and gave him a gentle Cranial treatment, concentrating on the severe trauma throughout his chest area as well as his head. He went to bed afterwards and slept like a baby.
The following day Toby was literally bouncing off the walls like a crazy boy! He was totally re-energised, grinning all over his face and thrilled to feel much better.
Together, let’s step it up!
So when I shout from the rooftops #OsteopathyWorks it’s because I’ve seen some incredible results. So it’s no surprise that my mission is to ensure that everyone should know that Osteopathic treatment is an option for their pain!
In the meantime, I am delighted to work with and grow the patient lists of hundreds of worldwide Osteopaths. Many of these I am also honoured to call friends.
In 2017, I shall remain passionate and committed to step up and help hundreds more get the message out loud and clear that indeed #OsteopathyWorks.
