In life, without passion, love and integrity, what do we really have?
Not much, I’d say!
But maintaining that level of energy day in day out can be hard when you’re busy.
However, in our marketing we really must keep up the impetus. The best way of getting our message across is with passion. I mean, you know that I’m a bit bonkers about Osteopathy don’t you?! I’m sure you’ve heard me rattling on about how I love Osteopaths, how I’m passionate about helping you to reach more potential patients and how I want to do that with integrity.
Yesterday I recorded a video for a mastermind group I’m in. It was about my business mission and there were a few taken aback about how Osteopathy helped my very poorly son and how I ended up starting Osteobiz in September 2013 at the same time he had his heart transplant. It took a year for him to really get back on his feet and he was readmitted several times with life-threatening viruses. But I just kept going with getting my baby business off the ground and cheerleading the boy.
Last week I had coffee with an Osteopath who’s been in touch with me for ages and he mentioned how I ‘burst onto the scene’ all of a sudden! It quite surprised me as, when you’re tucked away behind a laptop, you can sometimes wonder if you’ve actually managed to get your message across or if you’re instead whispering into the abyss. There must be days when you wonder the same!
Then yesterday I had some wonderful messages from Osteopaths saying they wish they’d found me sooner and one who has worked with me twice and is looking forward to doing so again when his next project is ready for promotion.
Occasionally, we need to lift our heads up, take a step back and look at all we HAVE achieved. Because we can be hard on ourselves when we’re still striving for our goals and have a way to go.
Then we need to redouble our efforts, believe in ourselves and our gifts and keep going. And the best way to get our message out into the world about what we do is to inject it with passion, love and integrity. Don’t be afraid to raise the volume a bit, to put your message out there a little more often, to remind those potential patients just how much you love to take away their pain.
What’s not to love about that message?
