I am constantly on the look out for words and stories to inspire you. I search for the latest thinking in business and marketing. I distil down the gems which I think are valuable to you and share them on.
This week I came across this little nugget from Simon Sinek, “People don’t buy WHAT you do, they buy WHY you do it” and it struck me like a thunderbolt. We can spend an age explaining WHAT we do, HOW we do it and so on. But beneath that lies the passion of WHY we do it.
Each of us has a story about why we love what we do but how many of us share that in our marketing or in our talks or website copy?
You may know my ‘WHY’
I saw Osteopathy keep my son Toby in incredibly good health for five whole years, despite him having severe Cardiomyopathy and needing a heart transplant. Following his return home after his new heart, I saw just one treatment shift him from lacklustre to bouncing off the walls with energy!
I witnessed the talented team at the Rollin Becker Institute inspire, encourage and teach other Osteopaths. Their valuable CPD courses taught how to hone skills and become an even more effective Osteopath.
That’s my WHY right there. I simply want more people to be aware that #OsteopathyWorks hence the social media campaign. The Facebook group of the same name now has nearly 1,000 members from across the globe. They’re sharing information, getting questions answered and generally working together to share the message about Osteopathy. I’ve added some free and downloadable resources and training accessible from the group to help with general marketing too. Help yourself!
Month on month, I’m getting busier. My online courses are very popular and my private coaching is hectic! Helping you to implement proven marketing strategies enables more people in your community to understand how you can help them back to health. And ultimately, that’s my why!
